Renewed Sky contract with exactly the same products but being asked to return Sky Q box

This doesn't make sense to me, but I'm worried I might be charged... there is nothing wrong with my Sky box, so makes no sense to return it?! Is this just an automated "thing" that can be ignored? I pay all my bills on time etc.

Did you at any point tell the agents you were cancelling?

Did you speak about changing to Stream / Glass and then stick with Q?

I was on the cancellation number, and the Sky guy convinced me to stay on a new 24 month contract, so that's maybe where this has come from... but if renewed in the end, you'd think there would be some sort of "override" and the cancelleation would be voided... maybe I'd best call them to be sure - just can't stand sitting on hold!! Thank you for your quick reply
