Removal of sky q
If sky do away with sky Q I'm leaving to go with virgin media etc, I've heard so many people complaining about sky streaming as you can't record, pause or rewind etc, stupid idea if you ask me, sky will probably lose ALOT of customers because of this .... bad move sky

Re: Removal of sky q
The impending demise of satellite television through Sky at the end of the decade (approximately) has been discussed at length on here. Unless someone's with very deep pockets stumps up for a new satellite there's not a lot Sky can do and don't forget Comcast are a very pro streaming platform company.

Sky employee incoming , it's a shocking company anyway, customer service is really bad, I'm already looking at other options as are my family/friends

Cable TV wasn't streaming, it was sending TV signals down coaxial cables. However Virgin are now providing new customers with their internet based streaming boxes which are very similar to Sky stream and don't record. People who don't want streaming are only going to have Freeview as a TV option in a few years time, and even the future of that isn't certain beyond 2034.

However there is only one set of satellites which all those Sky and Freesat dishes point to (the SES-owned Astra 28.2E trio) and these reach end of life around the turn of the decade when they'll have expended the last of their positioning propellant and need to be parked in a graveyard orbit or allowed to burn up on re-entry.
Gravity doesn't really care whether someone is a Sky employee or not.

If it's so bad and there are lots of other options, can I just ask why haven't you switched already? Serious question. Because I don't see any other obvious options and figure I'll probably end up with Stream (which hopefully will have had the teething problems ironed out) once the sats stop doing their thing.
