Red light won’t go off - download stalled & nothing recording

Help!! Recently put back tv & Sky Q box etc. after decorating our living room but our equipment isn't working properly. We experimented with cables but it hasn't resolved things ... although very briefly. Our preset recordings won't play saying "This programme is no longer available," even though this applies to older recordings too. Nothing is recording now for us or downloads are not available either. The mini Sky box isn't working properly either in terms of watching recordings which is disappointing. Any advice anyone? I have read previous posts and tried a few things but nothing seems to be working for us ... unfortunately.

@Helpme-13 If you have not already tried then try rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

then

rbooting your mini box

If that doesnt work it may be a problem with your hard drive work through the link below

Do you have the MySky app or can you log in online?

 

What does the Service Checker tell you? 

It should report any equipment faults and enable you to get help.

Tried my Sky app and it told me that everything was fine ... when it's far from fine!! I'm heading away on holidays and was looking forward to having my recordings to catch up on when I get back but it doesn't look like that'll happen now. Thanks for your help anyway.

Thanks for your message. I actually knocked off the power again and tried to download something on Catch-up and thankfully it worked and the programme that seemed to be "stuck" downloading finished & my experimental one worked too. The red light has disappeared too!!! 🎊🥳 Hopefully it will stay working 🤞
