I tried to use the red button for the first time on Sky Sports Golf.
When I pressed the red button, I got the option to switch to the PGA tournament, the main feed or featured groups, etc. None of them worked. It kepts saying the service is not available.
I reset the sky box.
Now I cannot even press the red button. I get "The service is not availlable because of a problem with your hard disk".
Now it also seems that I have issues with on demand and other part of the service.
When I called Sky for the red button issue, the technician told me that I need to upgrade to HD and Ultra HD. Is that pure **bleep**? I am very surprised if this is true. In any case, he did not try to solve my issue and acknowledged that the message about the hard disk was misleading...
What's going on? Is this the worst company ever? Or am I just unlucky?

Agree that your issue has nothing to with upgrading to UHD.
Check if you can make new Recordings. If you cannot or you keep getting disk error messages Work through the following link

If you do have to order a new Q box this usually means a doorstep swap.
Don’t forget to keep your viewing card from the failed box if you order a replacement.
Also if the box you are replacing is a 2TB there are two versions of power supply. One has a standard C7 (figure of eight) power lead socket in the back of the Q box. The other has a separate power supply. Although this still has the C7 power lead into the power supply there is a multi pin Din power socket in the Q box for connecting the power supply. Make sure that the replacement box has the power supply included if the Q box has the orange coded multi pin din socket in the back of the Q box. See below.

Thanks very much!
Indeed resetting the hard drive worked for me.
Still can't believe how the customer disservice was. All they were interested was selling me something (yes, I did not tell you that before reaching the technician who knew nothing, I spoke to a guy who tried to sell me 3 different things)...
Thanks again!
