Recording listed format

I have recently switched to Sky Q and I hate the format of displaying recorded programmes by a series of tiles instead an easy at a glance listings as was the case in the old Sky format.
Ironically the listings for live TV is an ideal format as it is far easier to see. I know it is not the same but a few small changes and Sky could offer a similar format for recorded programmes.

Some customers are happy with the present tile display, but many like myself are not. Surely it is not that big an issue to offer an alternative

Indeed, but given the product is effectively getting towards its end of life I doubt any significant changes are going to be made.

Hi @Geoffbee

If you go to Recordings- Sort by - A to Z

There is a list of all recordings in Alphabetical order

Re: Recording listed format

The A-Z format only works if you go in and select it. It does not store that selection so you need to go through the same process each time

I agree! We just got forced to "upgrade" and the tile view is terrible. The old Sky+ list view was much easier to use.

@Hibbses

You haven't been forced to upgrade to Sky Q. You've decided to take up Sky Q due to limited options with Sky+ or Sky+HD which, as legacy packages are no longer supported by Sky.

Re: Recording listed format

They've disabled the card pairing function for Sky Plus boxes, so when we moved the viewing card from another box whilst on holiday, it can't be re-paried with the home box. So our choices were to abandon Sky altogether or get Sky Q. Sure, we weren't literally forced to take Sky Q, we could have ditched Sky. That would have been my preferred option, but mum's paying the bill for TV and she wants the sports.

I question the accuracy of this statement.

@Hibbses

It's worth also noting that by your own admission you seem to have breached Skys T's and C's whereby the boxes and/or viewing card must only be used at the account address.

Re: Recording listed format

None of the Sky customer services people have mentioned that when we've called them to help pairing it with another box, and I've always explained that we're using it whilst at our holiday home. The installation engineer was fine with it as well. It's only ever been vigilante users on the forum that have taken it upon themselves to be hostile over it. Sky themselves don't care, and don't want to make enemies of their customers.
