Received replacement Sky Q remote control but no on screen instructions to set it up.

Ordered a replacement Sky Q remote as I thiught my old one stopped working . Received new one and having same problem. The lights on the remote flash but no on screen instructions to set it up . 

What else can I try?

Assume you got the light to flash with 7&9?

 

did you then hold down 1&3?

1st try reset of your remote:

Press & Hold the 7 & 9 until the remote's light (red LED above the SKY logo button) flashes 4 times

Then press 1 & 3 together to go through to re-pair with the box and your TV - make sure it has line of sight of the box as until it is paired it uses Infrared

I've tried holding 7 & 9  , lights flashed 4 times. I then pressed 1 & 3 with 20 flashes , but then nothing .

I have exactly the same problem, can't set up new remote, they say  i have a connectivity issue.  It has worked with this set up for years. We have sky box in other room,  Thought remote was incorrect.  new remote has all the lights flashing but can't connect.

Hi @Hmmmmm123   Did you try power rebooting your Sky Q box first? The remote should work after 7 & 9 by IR (line of sight to box).

Is the box in line of sight from the remote?
