Our main Sky box is working fine, but the mini box upstairs is not working properly. error message is no satellite signnal,  the tv guide won't load (constantly buffering), same for recordings, the apps are there but they all require to be signed-in from scratch again. We've re-booted the network router, the main sky box and the mini box, tried to reactivate the connection, reset the network but no luck. In setting the network says it has a problem but all the status ticks are there (for both sky box and network).

 

Any ideas.. i think we've been through the full list of things recommended to do.

As you mention apps, I assume you have Sky Q, not Sky+ where you posted. I'll move your post accordingly.

 

Try turning off both your main Sky Q box and the Mini at the plug. Wait for a minute and restart the main box. After it has fully restarted (give it 5 minutes or so) restart the Mini and see how you get on.
