Just re read and you say you have turned off Deep colour for the HDMI.
this means you are using 8-bit can you confirm this is the setting you are using?

When you say reset the tv do you mean back to factory settings and start again or just turn off at the mains and reboot? Cheers.

factory settings unfortunately, bit of a pain if you have to do it after every software update.

I have recently turn Sky Q box back to 1080p and turned on deep colour on the TV and picture drops outs returned. Back to deep colour off and 1080i on the Sky Q box. Seems to fix it. I did reset the TV too and that sorted the sound drop outs.

Hi guys, I have several LG 55OLED C46 TVs., and have had the same black screen drop outs for a second or two on all of them. Iv tried tv factory resets after firmware upgrades and it still happens. The only solution I have found that stops it, while still being able to view UHD 4k content is to turn of Dolby digital sound on the Sky Q box.
This has to be a software issue between LG and Sky, but both seem to blame the other.

Nothing has worked on mine. Only way I can get it to stop doing it for a couple days is to turn off at the mains and then turn back on when I start using it and this will last a couple days before it starts doing it again. So I have resulted in turning the tv and sky off at the mains every night until I can get a proper solution from sky and/or LG. When I contacted both of them they both claimed they had never heard of this issue and I need to contact sky back tonight as they are going to walk me through something to try and have said that if what I do tonight doesn't work then basically nothing can be done. LG have said if I don't get anywhere with sky to contact them and they will send out an engineer to have a look.

I stopped into Currys on Friday with a friend of mine as he is getting a new s90d oled and I asked whilst I was there about the issue and the sales tech said he has heard of this issue and says there is no current fix and LG shock hopefully be fixing in a software update. However true this is I cannot be sure.
