Rain - signal loss

Does the rain affect everyone as much as me ?

Whenever it rains (NOT drizzle) - we lose our signal and picture.

Even heavy cloud causes the same issue.

Is there any reason for this ?

It gets extremely annoying, having to wait for several minutes each time for the signal to return

We have a Q box and approx 8 year old mini dish....... the dish is clear of any trees and has a clear view of the sky.

When the Q box was installed, 2 years ago - we didn't get a new dish - we kept the old (HD) dish

@Wibbly-Woo it may be your dish is slughtly out of alignment best to contact Sky and get an engineer out to chech the alignment

@Wibbly-Woo

As @Laing1  indicates, this would indicate a slight mis-alignment

You should only loose signal with very thick cloud & rain , such as during Thunderstorms or Snow

(Note: In between the Satellites above the Equator & the dish , so not cloud directly overhead)
