Problem 1: cannot download to Sky Q. Error message "failed location check".
Recently experiencing a problem which means cannot download programmes to my Sky Q box. Have an error message "location check failed".
Also, have a problem with Sky Go on my Android device where only can view BBC channels when connected with home wifi. It works fine when I switch to mobile data (which means I cannot connect to my Sky Q box) or use my laptop or computer.

Hi @A2-London Who is your ISP provider? Are you using any sort of VPN? What are the results of the IP Location check IP Address Lookup | Geolocation (iplocation.net)

Not sure what's happening as I posted a response but don't see it! Okay my ISP is Community Fibre. Although I have VPN I don't turn it on unless I'm out and about and using public wifi. From the link you kindly provided, my IP address states correctly London, England.

Hi @A2-London This appears to be common with Community Fibre. If you search the community for Community Fibre or location check failed you will see several threads.

Took your advice and followed the threads for Community Fibre and found the solution under "release and renew IP".. I also had to reset my routers and sign out of my Sky Go, uninstal and reinstall to get everything to work properly.

PS - you have to have the Community Fibre's Linksys App to "release and renew IP" which I did for the routers, not the modem.
