Prevent red button message appearing during live football broadcast

I have a 1 TB Sky Q box and, when watching live football on Premier League, a red icon keeps appearing in the bottom right with "Recap" or "Recap and Data Zone". I can press backup on the Sky Remote and it disappears only to reappear a short while later. If I let it timeout and disappear on its own, it will still reappear. Also, if I press the red button and then back out, it will reappear again a short while later. In other words, there seems to be nothing I can do to stop it appearing. I have read that it can be resolved by changing max recordings (or length) but this only seems to pertain to the 2 TB boxes. If anyone has a solution, I'd be grateful if you could share it. I intend watching Sunday's matches but can try out a potential fix in tomorrow night's PL match. Thanks in advance.

Hi @spacehopper I'm watching US Open tennis and getting the red button for court selection I just leave it to disappear by itself for it to reappear again I just ignore it really as it shown bottom right of tv screen.

I have the 2TB box and changed to max recordings and not had the red button for court selection appear.

I'll change it back to 5 as some football matches are available via the red button like the tennis.

Yes it works changing to Max recordings but from my point of view the red button isn't an issue

I know it is not ideal but I believe a work around to stop the pop up is to press pause to delay the live feed by a few seconds and then release it

In the absence of a fix I think I might have to try that workaround.

Just had a thought. The workaround is to not watch live TV. Perhaps it's a ploy by Sky to push people toward Sky Stream, which is slightly delayed. Hmmm 🤔

Fair comment @spacehopper  I may have found another workaround and still watching it Live without pressing the pause button for a few seconds

F1 has the red button for Race control and Recap

If I press the red button I see this menu

I'm wanting Italian Grand Prix Practice 1

If I select that I get another menu 

And the option to watch in UHD if I select watch  in UHD I'm still within the red button service 

So now it says Watching instead of watch in uhd  

Just press the backup button twice to get rid of the side menu then press the up button for the side menu then the dismiss for full screen

So not getting the red button pop up as I'm watching the session via the red button I'll test it out with Luton v West Ham match tonight🤔

I may try that with the match tonight too.

A faff but it's a solution if it works.

I mentioned this issue when I cancelled (31 days' notice) a couple of weeks ago but customer service couldn't offer much help.

Just tried it on the Crystal Palace v Wolves match and the annoying red button notification doesn't appear - presumably because I'm watching full-screen through the red button.

Happy now to watch the match at 4:30 without pausing.
