Premium TNT subscription but can’t watch channel

I have upgraded my discovery plus subscription and can't watch TNT via the app but not on the channel. It's not as good quality. How do I update sky to know I've updated my subscription

It sounds like you have bought app only access directly via Discovery.

 

You can log into the discovery+ app on Sky devices and use it, but you won't get any of the TNT Sports channels in the normal live TV Guide alongside Sky Sports etc. unless you have subscribed through Sky (or BT/EE).

 

If you are happy to watch via the app, you can carry on as you are, if not, then you will need to take out the correct subscription via Sky (or BT/EE).

 

As a Sky customer, you already get access to discovery+ basic. Adding a subscription to TNT Sports via Sky enables the channels in the TV Guide and upgrades discovery+ to Premium.

Who did you upgrade your discovery+ subscription with?

 

Unless you pay for TNT Sports via Sky or BT/EE (called TNT Sports on Sky), then the channels are not available in the TV Guide, only via the app.

I'd originally bought the basic package when they did their olympics discount via discovery website and I've just upgraded it. They seem to tie up before

I have recently subscribed to TNT via Sky.  I can now see all the TNT channels on my Sky Q box.  I cannot access the app through Sky Q, it still only has the basic package.  I can only access the Discovery + basic package on my tablet as well.  Whilst I'm not bothered about the app on my tablet, I would like to fully access the content of the Discovery+ app on my Sky Q box.  But nothing seems to work.  I've paid a lot of money so I can see ex-Eurosport coverage and I'm not happy about the app not working properly.

Have you signed out of the app and then signed back in? Has more than 24 hours passed since you ordered TNT?

 

The channels are often instantly available (or at least pretty quickly), the app access can take a little while longer.

Yes, I've signed out of the Sky Q Discovery+ app and also the one on my IPad.  I've also contacted Sky and after 2+ hours was told it wasn't their problem and I have to contact Discovery+ to sort it out.  I know from previous forum comments that Discovery+ are taking no responsibility for the Sky issues.  The problem I have is that the minority sports that I watch on Eurosport will only be available on the app come next weekend when Eurosport closes down in the UK.

You pay Sky for access to TNT Sport which includes access to discovery+ Premium, it is entirely on them to deliver the app access you are paying for on their own hardware.

 

I would raise a complaint with Sky for failing to deliver the service you are paying for.

 

But I would also contact discovery+ to see if they can fix access, mainly to see if they say it is Sky's fault, which adds credence to your complaint.

 

You have activated access to discovery+ via Sky haven't you?

I did mine through discovery so I've cancelled that and no will do through sky as my mum accesses the channels on a mini box and won't understand how to access via an app.
