Sky did not warn me that if I agreed to their offer of a second Sky Q box I would incur an additional TNT sports subscription charge. I currently pay BT for this. Not happy. I may well not have proceeded if I'd been given full facts. Possible miss-selling?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @HilMN The additional second box charge through BT/EE is a BT/EE charge only, nothing to do with Sky. If you had subscribed to TNT Sports through Sky then the second box and HD are both included. I would be surprised if Sky knew the BT/EE charges, nothing to do with them.

hi @HilMN
Unfortunately there is a difference between customers paying for TNT Sports through SKY vs BT - those who pay through SKY do not pay extra for watching on a second box.
Unless you specifically asked whether you could watch TNT Sports on the mini box without paying extra & discussed who you pay then I doubt it could be considered mis-selling.
I do not know if you can cancel multiscreen and get any refund on any admin fee for this - I suspect not but I guess you can ask

As a long time BT customer I always believed only they can add the extra box charge and there is no way for it to be added by Sky.
You have to contact BT to add on access via an additional box. So are you saying you added an additional Q mini box and have then been hit with an extra box charge by BT without agreeing, or something else?

When I had Sky Q Mini box in my bedroom I was only ever changed £12(£6) for the box every month and all Sky stuff from the Sky Q box worked on it, it casts a copy of the Sky Q GUI on the Sky Mini box so its independant, abit like You Tube casting but not a mirror....?

That's not necessarily the case for other subscriptions, depending on where they are billed. BT Sport (now TNT) always had an extra charge for use on additional boxes if the subscription was paid to BT: it's not covered by Multiscreen if not itself billed by Sky
You'll find that the SkyQ Mini box doesn't have a viewing card slot. This means you can't get TNT Sports just for your SkyQ Mini. You'll need to have it on your main SkyQ box before you add a TNT Sports Second Box subscription for your SkyQ Mini.
