I have just returned to Sky after a small absence and the picture quality of Sky channels is appaling, I have a Sony OLED TV. The picture quality on BBC and ITV channels is excellent but it's just the Sky channels which are not sharp at all. Only been back with Sky for a week and dissapointed.

Thanks PandJ2020, just had a look and I don’t have HD package. Looks like you have to pay extra then just to get a decent picture with Sky. Hopefully I am in a cooling off period for cancelling, as really what should be a service provided like free to air channels provide, Sky charge you extra to make it a pleasant viewing experience.

of course, it's being transmitted anyway, whether you pay or not but then the plane's going anyway but that doesn't mean anyone gets a free seat.
and you also want the UHD addon if you really want a decent picture, with HDR, to suit that OLED (UHD content is not available on all channels, mostly a part of cinema, nature and sport)
