Picture resolution on Sky Q 2TB box for Neo Qled UHD TV

Should I select the 2106 UHD picture resoloution setting? prevoiusly I was using the 1080p on my old full HD tv. I haven't susbscribed to the Sky UHD add on, but do watch 4K content on IPlayer and YouTube. Ive noticed that by changing it to 2106 10 bit the picture on my HD channels and recordings apper slightly soft and blurry. Is the 2106 setting mainly for watching 4K content, or should the Q box/TV upscale 1080 res to 4K? I've read in other posts that there are some hw say it makes the Sky home screen appear blurry

If you don't have the UHD add on, leave it at 1080.

Watch iPlayer/YouTube etc through the apps on the tv.  Picture is much better than using the apps through Sky Q.

Realistically the upscaling silicon in any halfway decent recent television can reasonably be expected to be 'better' than that in a Q box (or any other set top hardware apart perhaps from an Apple TV 4K)
