Picture quality worse after upgrade to tv package

I used to have Sky Sports. I recently cancelled after my deal ended. I got a new deal today and for a few quid more I took the movies as well. After the upgrade I've noticed the picture quality is poorer than before. The resolution doesn't look like HD anymore. Any ideas anyone?

The obvious question would be do you definitely still have the HD add-on as part of the new 'deal'?

Yes I do. I have the HD add on for regular channels, sport and movies.   This May sound silly, but could it be that the bandwidth is being shared by a greater number of channels than before? 

I get the signal through a dish.

No, the amount of bandwidth doesn't change no matter how few or many channels you have.

Very strange. I've spoken to the tech team at Sky. They can't explain it either. They checked loads of settings on my Q box as well. I'll monitor it and see what happens.
