Been with Sky since 1999 and for the first time tonight I ordered a sky sports box office event, namely Fury Vs Usyk. When I say I ordered it I used the remote on my sky Q box to set it to record on the sky box office channel. As I've never done this before can someone just confirm how I'll be charged for it i.e. will it go onto next month's bill or will a charge be made to my credit card. Thanks in advance.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Fireball+XL-5 the charge will be added to the next available bill to be generated once you watch a millisecond of either the live broadcast or repeat broadcast or recorded viewing
if you don't watch a millisecond of either version you won't be charged

Am I right in thinking you can record the 'box office event' then without putting in your pin to consent to purchase?
If so, what's the point of the pin security?

I'll add some context.
My father who has Parkinsons/Alzheimers appears to have recorded last nights Fury/Usyk fight which my youngest kid (11 years old) has started watching with him this morning.
I thought it was strange that they were able to as I hadn't purchased the fight via Sky Box Office. I'm now of the understanding you can record the event and watch any event negating the security of the pin code is supposed to provide? If so, well done Sky, those security measures are well thought through?

The PIN is always required, unless "PIN on Purchase" has been turned off in the Parental settings (it's on by default).
If you set a Box Office event to record it asks for the PIN as soon as you set the recording.

Cheers for the reply.
Parental settings are as they should be with the Pin controls 'On'.
The Fury/Usyk fight is playing on the recordings. I'll assume I've been charged for it?
If the pin was required just to record the fight, its a bigger mystery as my lad was in bed. If the pin was only required to view the fight this morning, I wouldn't put it past my youngest to know the pin!
The perils of multi room and caring for the elderly I suppose?

Update...
Just spoke to my youngest. My wife has made the purchase (removed) and she couldn't remember. Fair play (removed)
Apologies to Sky.
