@AH3573 The most basic package with Sky Q is called Sky essentials and is basically the free to view channels anad the ability to record, i believe its £15 a month(although some have got it cheaper) and i think the only way to order it is to call Sky.

Note that while receiving Universal Credit is a qualifying factor for getting a Social Tariff broadband product, there's no equivalent scheme for subscription television.  Government designates broadband and voice call access to be an essential service, but regards all television except PSB as a luxury.

Yes sky essentials is the basic and they don't advertise it because they want you to sign up for the bigger package.
