Noise at 5:45am

The box fan kicks in at 5:45am every morning and wakes me up. I believe this is when the tv guide/ menu etc are set to update and you can disable it but then very quickly everything will be out of date. Same problem if I turn the power off at the wall. Is there no way I can reschedule the update to a more civilised hour?

They've just told me to take it out of eco mode as the noise is due to it coming out of its default nocturnal energy saving setting. But there seems to be no way of extending its time in eco mode so it only wakes up at a civilised hour.

Correct @Charlotte19991

You cannot change the default time the box is asleep when in ECO mode.

However if you switch ECO mode off (and use Active or None) you can manually put the box into ECO by pressing and holding the standby button until the led turns red.  As far as I am aware this will put the box into ECO and remain in that state until you switch it back on to use it.  It will reboot when you switch it on. However there may still be a daily reboot signal sent by Sky in the early hours and I don't know if this happens when in manual ECO.

Hi @Charlotte19991

Afraid you cannot alter the time Sky send the reboot signal to the Q boxes
