No subtitles on recordings
I had a new sky q box fitted yesterday and whilst I am getting subtitles watching live programmes there are no subtitles with recordings or downloads

Hi @Hedgesanne
Not all Downloads will be available with Subtitles.
On the Download tile (in the Recordings - Most recent section) any recording with subtitles will show the subtitle icon in the synopsis under the tile. The icon is a White Square containing S.
If subtitles are available then they must be switched on to view on playback.
Global setting for subtitles is in the Home menu.
Home - Settings - Accessibility. Set Subtitles to On

Re: No subtitles on recordings
I have subtitles switched on but find that in recent months programme that have the 'subtitle' square for live screening do not have the subtitles when played back from a recording. I'm aware that not all 'downloads' have subtitles, but do not understand why recorded programmes no longer have them. This is a recent phenomenon!

Re: No subtitles on recordings
I have the same issue. Almost everything I've recorded for my mum recently has been useless, as when we play it there's just "not available" in the subtitles option. Useless for my mum, who otherwise needs the volume so loud it disturbs the neighbours and still misses half the dialogue! Come on now, more technology is supposed to improve tech options like subtitles, not dispense with them!
