Reset tv and sky q box countless time to try to fix problem. Minibox sound is fine but absolutely silent on main box. Was perfecly fine last night

Hi @KevinAndrea Try rebooting your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@KevinAndrea Check that the HDMI cable is correctly seated at both the Sky Q & TV ends. Also (and apologies for this) make sure someone hasn't accidently muted the tv volume.

Engineer coming out, all the obvious checks and full reset of box made no difference.

I am not sure if you have done it or not, but if not please may I suggest you do a full power down (i.e. switch of at mains or unplug) of your TV
We often find that such a power down of TVs restore sound - even when the TVs sound work with Freeview or inbuilt apps
