No sound from box at all

My Sky Q box has lost all sound output, on tv or any apps. I cannot get output via my tv or sound system and both work fine on other devices. Ive checked all cables and reset the sky box in settings. I also restarted the box. Nothing works, any ideas?

It looks like you have already gone though the motions, trying to fix yourself. 

I would suggest doing a settings reset, though the settings tab.

If that fails, contact sky tech who will be able to do a full investigation.

Hi @saintfreddy 

You could try Rebooting your TV set.

Failing this have you checked with Q box connected direct to TV and not through any sound system

To close the ticket for future reference: this was a fault caused by the TV HDMI controller which was incorrectly taking audio from a game console, whilst showing the sky box image. It resolved itself.
