No sky in summer months

I have a tree that blocks my signal in the summer which makes watching Sky from April impossible. 
id rather not be paying £147 for a service I can't use

If you mean Sky, they won't contact you in response to a forum post. They have no simple way of establishing who you are.

 

Sounds like  you're a candidate for Sky Stream, which doesn't rely on a satellite signal. Assuming, of course, that your broadband speed is adequate.

@R22.3 Sky won't contact you based on you posting here, the forum is a customer to customer support platform.

If a tree is blocking the signal to your dish then you need to speak to the owner of the land its on and ask them nicely if they wouldn't mind trimming it back, if they won't then there is little you can do(apart from switch to Sky stream or Sky Glass, or cancel) and there is absolutly nothing Sky can do.

The Sky signal is being transmitted correctly: they can't be held responsible for it being intercepted...

@R22.3  As advised in previous replies you have 2 options get the tree lopped or investigate if Sky Stream is a suitable alternative.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
