No signals for free Sky channel

My contract recently ended and I am in process of getting new contract however, I don't get any signals at all and sky box shows that no signal received. Does sky block Freeview if your contact finished.? I used to get Freeview channels without any subscription before. Anyone can help me while I am sorting out the subscription. I have done all troubleshooting like cabling , powers, reset sky box but no luck and it doesn't get any signals from dish.

Your contract only ends if you've given notice to cancel it. If you've done that, then you have no access to any channel. They all require a current subscription.

Freeview is digital terrestrial television broadcast from a regional mast and received through an aerial.

 

Freesat is the equivalent coming from orbit and landing on a dish, but a Q box without an active Sky subscription* has no Freesat functionality.

 

*Signature, Ultimate TV or TV Essentials.
