No signal to ITV 1 channel
Tonight I cannot get ITV 1 on as it says there is no signal and yet I can get all the other channels on?
I find it strange I am now having problems after I cancelled my Sky earlier in the week as my Son had bought me a Freesat box. However after 3 days its stopped working (no sound) so I sent it back and I phoned Sky and asked them to cancel the termination which they did and now I am having problems.

Re: No signal to ITV 1 channel
No signal or no satellite signal? They are different.
A message displaying ”no signal” tends to be generated from your TV and normally means your TV’s not seeing the Sky box on the relevant HDMI input.
If you’re seeing a “no satellite signal” message check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Otherwise it’s very likely a dish misalignment or possibly a failing LNB (on the arm of the dish) so check the troubleshooting on this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish. If it doesn’t you’ll need to contact Sky to book an engineer appointment.
If you are connected to a communal dish you need to liaise directly with your building management company / landlord who will have their approved engineers to contact.
It’s worth noting that:
▪️ a misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels
▪️ a Sky Q box requires a periodic 'Keep alive' signal that is delivered via the satellite so if that isn’t received the box will close down until the satellite signal is restored.

Re: No signal to ITV 1 channel
It says no satallite signal and I have checked the leads and all seem tight. If it was a lead then I would not be able to get any other channels but they are all on including ITV2 & ITV3 its just ITV1 I cannot get.
How much does it cost for an engineer to call out?

Re: No signal to ITV 1 channel
There's no cost for a Sky engineer. If you employ a local satellite company that would be at your own expense but may be quicker. Sky wouldn't reimburse you though.

Hi @gordenbennett I'm guessing that you may have disturbed the satellite cable connections by replacing and putting them back on the Sky Q box. I would very carefully check that the centre copper strand is not bent or damaged. Each lead provides different channels.

Re: No signal to ITV 1 channel
Which ITV1 region are you in? The way ITV is broadcast, you will also have lost either ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 or ITV Quiz depending on your region.
It won't be related to your recent decision to cancel then rejoin Sky, there's no way thay can disturb the signal to an individual customer and even if they could they wouldn't want to annoy someone who has just rejoined.
