No satellite signal

Original issue was Netflix not launching, just the loading icon on the screen randomly when launched meaning some days we cannot watch Netflix. Tried rebooting router,  turning box off and on, updating software, but a year later still having issues.

After reaching my limit of frustration I've  just done a factory reset, but screen now saying there's no satellite signal (but always had a signal before the reset, and sky app saying signal is fine, and all cables are fine) booked an engineer now but surely there's something I can do, please help?

Hi @Mark2516 Try placing your TV on standby, then try rebooting your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot.

hi @Mark2516

Do you have your own dish or do you have a communal system ?

If you have a communal system and reset your box the chances are that the LNB type is set incorrectly
You need to check/change the LNB type to SCR - this is in an engineer's menu

To access it :

press Home
Scroll to Settings - but do not press enter/select at this point
Press 0 0 1 in sequence followed by the Enter/ select button
you should now get the engineer's menu

Select the LNB Type & set to SCR if necessary

After changing the LNB type power down your SKY Q box and restart it for the change to come into effect
