We lost satellite signal when we had scaffolding erected
we have now moved the dish so there is no obstruction but still have the same error message
how long does it take to pick up the signal ?
any other thoughts to correct the situation gratefully received

Hi @BMHharwood
Looks like your dish is probably misaligned.
Work through the following link and if you cannot solve your issue it will lead to booking a Engineer.

You get a signal as soon as the dish is aligned properly and cables connected without problems.
Who moved the dish & is there any reason why the signal at the box was not checked befre they left ?

The scaffolders asked if the sky box etc was working. Before they left and my wife said it was, .... but it wasn't
How do I know the exact position required for the dish. Does it have to be very accurate or is the general direction ok ?
I have checked the cables and they all seem fine

hi @BMHharwood
The alignment is critical and cannot be done by the naked eye - it needs to be checked with a meter.
SKY will do it and generally charge around £65 but engineer appointments are very thin on the ground, so probably best to get a local installer to do this

Thank you.
I probably shouldn't have moved it in the first place !
