I rebooted the box earlier this week and that worked.

Whenever a “no satellite signal” message is displayed firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Also check out the troubleshooting on this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish.
A misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels. If you’re on a communal dish you may initially need to liaise with your landlord or building management company.

I got my UHD SKY Q box installed back in early 2017. For the last 12 months I had an issue where sometimes when I turned on the SKY Q box and get a "No satellite signal" error message. A hard reset by unplugging the box fixed the issue, and I also updated the software while I was at it. Then for the last 3 months or so the same issue was happening once a week on average. The exact same stats were appearing regarding signal strength & quality in the Menu, I had no breakup of picture on any channels and there were no storms localy to knock the dish out of position.
An engineer called round and when I described all of the above he immediatly recomended swapping out the Q box for a new one, as 7 years is long time to have the same device and some internal parts were probably on the blink. Got the new version with the power brick and was recommended to put quater inch ribber feet under each corner, as the box extracts hot air under the box and excess heat will damage it over time.
I think in future SKY will become a streaming only service, and there will be no need for dishes or boxes, plus we get to pay extra to skip the ads !
