So I have sky q with two mini boxes. Everything is working fine on the main box, both minis are connected to WiFi (which is working fine) and can access everything that requires an internet connection (eg Netflix, catch up TV, sky cinema etc) but we cannot get a TV signal on either mini box.
the screen is just black and says "No Satellite Signal". We cannot load the TV Guide, nor can we access recordings that are stored on the main box so it seems like it's a problem with the main box not sending data to the minis.
I checked settings on the main box and there is a tick by "watch on sky q mini". I even clicked to reconnect there.
I have unplugged and rebooted all three boxes multiple times, the last time I also unplugged and rebooted the router (also sky). Still no luck.
anyone have any ideas about what else I can do to remedy it?

So final update. We solved the problem by doing a hard drive reset from the secret engineer settings memo.
this fixed our hard drive problem on the main box (but obviously lost all our recordings) and the mini boxes are now receiving tv signals.

Try a Reset Settings in the main Q box hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
If you cannot switch the Q box on with the remote after the Reset press the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the box.
To re pair the remote press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.
Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.
Resetting the settings will also reset:
Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control
Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, include LNB type. If on a communal dish you need to reset the LNB to SCR in the hidden menu. After changing the LNB type you need to reboot the Q box.

Thanks for the reply. I executed the hidden reset and then rebooted the mini box. Unfortunately it still hasn't solved the problem.
Any other ideas?

So an update. I've just realised that everything isn't working fine with the main Sky Q box. There seems to be a problem with the HDD. We cannot access our recordings and we cannot pause live TV (it says "This service is not available because of a problem with your Hard Disc Drive")
I wonder if this could be part of the problem why we can't get TV on the mini boxes?

We have no signal to any sky
we have unplugged all mini boxes and rebooted them
there is a nessage on screen
your skyQ mini bix has not been able to connect to the activation server

Same solution for me. Tried first reset in hidden engineer mode and this didn't work. Did the disk reset and this worked immediately.
