No satellite signal - no access to any apps/internet either

Hi,

 

My sky q box is displaying 'to use this service, you need a satellite signal' in every tab section of the sky interface. (other than the tv guide that is constantly trying to load) 

 

I've turned on and off etc... reset settings.... rebooted the wifi..... checked all the wires.... checked the viewing card.... still nothing at all.

 

What I don't understand is that it has gradually reduced my access. last night I could use the apps etc... now it isn't let me do anything with it at all.

 

any help at all? or more a diagnosis as to what the problem is?

If the box doesn't have a satellite signal then eventually it turns into a brick.

 

Is there an issue with satellite reception?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
