No satellite signal for 3 weeks

I have had no satellite signal for 3 weeks. Tried turning off sky boxes for over 5 mins. Tried restarting all boxes. Dish does not look like it has moved. We have apps via Wi-Fi but no live tv and no schedule.

@Diver1 Sounds like you've done all the obvious checks. I'd just call Sky and get it reported.

@Diver1

Have you rung Sky in the three weeks as it may be your dish is slightly out of alignment but not necessarily noticeable.

Call Sky ASAP as you may only get credit for loss of service from the point of reporting.

Hi @Diver1

You may also need to be aware that the Q box needs a periodic authoristaion signal via the Satellite to keep it 'alive', so there is a chance that it may stop working for the apps

As the others have said best to get SKY  to check alignment etc., if you haven't already.

I been up to the dish and it seems really tight . Don't think it could have moved,👍

Re: No satellite signal for 3 weeks

The dish only has to move a tiny fraction to cause problems, it needs exact line of sight unlike a TV aerial. But either way it needs reporting to Sky so they can find the fault and fix it.
