No satellite signal again

Following the disaster last week when sky q had issues has this happened again.worked yesterday but now again same message, no satellite signal, everything is ticked ,tried rebooting etc several times but still the same, is anyone else experiencing same. Booked an engineer but nothing available until 4th June ! What a poor service and no telephone numbers to contact them!

Yes we have the same everything on the app says it's all fine but no signal

Doesn't matter what area you're in. There's only one satelite signal coming down.


Ticks on connection page are about internet access not satellite.

 

Have you tried another reboot?

 

are you on a communal dish? If so check in the installer menu that you're using SCR  mode for the LNB

there is a tick against satellite signal i have tried everything that sky suggests in the trouble shooting guide, just pathetic that an engineer not available until 4 june !

4th of June isn't too bad actually. There were quite a few engineers made redundant recently as Comcast moves Sky TV in the direction of Glass and Stream. You could see if there's quicker availability by contacting a local independent satellite company but get a quote first as the cost will be at your own expense.


Before doing that check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Otherwise it’s very likely a dish misalignment or possibly a failing LNB (on the arm of the dish) so check the troubleshooting on this link
