@Dunfermlinebiy Sky stream doesn't use satellite so it can't be a message with a Stream box.
It's likely a TV message if it has an inbuilt satellite tuner.
Do you actually have any Sky TV equipment at all?

You need a satellite connection to use Q. Are you saying it's unplugged from the dish?

Then you wouldn't have Sky Q.

...or it definitely is Q with miniboxes then I'm surprised it's worked for so long as they usually stop after a few weeks without Satellite 'keep alive' signals.
If so, the *only* fix is to reconnect the dish.

Sorry, but Iv'e got to ask: is this a wind up? Sky Q is a satellite based system, always has been. The satellite feed needs to be connected to the main Sky Q receiver at all times, because Sky randomly sends a verification to your box via the satellite; if it doesn't get a response (via the internet), it stops your box working (and any connected Sky mini boxes) - even previously recorded programmes.
Oh, and all Live trasmissions are transmitted via the satellite.
I just don't understand how it can have working for 5 years with no satellite feed.

@Dunfermlinebiy Perhaps a photo of the box can help clear this up.

@Dunfermlinebiy are you talking about one of your mini boxes as the main Q box needs connecting to the dish but the mini boxes connect via wifi or ethernet cable to your main box.
If its the mini box Have you tried rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions
then
rebooting the mini box

The main Q box absolutely requires a satellite dish connection cable and signal. Its associated Mini boxes don't themselves have their own direct dish feeds because 'their' satellite tuners are in the main Q box, and it's that box which rebroadcasts the received and decoded live television channel data to them.
