Re: No satelite signal

Just done a full reboot of main box and all mini boxes. After several attempts have now got them all back online and can access most stuff, however occasional glitches. Problem now is no apps showing, just Sky and U. I can see programmes on Disney+ and BBC iplayer, however if you tray and select them it says I need to upgrade. Am just going to leave it all overnight and see if the issue settles down with Sky. Agree that their updates are poor and to say everything si OK now isnt good enough for customers when it clearly isnt, or if it is their end you need to be a technical wizard at yours!

Re: SkyQ mini box no satellite signal

I spent 4 hours this morning disconnecting and rebooting etc. Rung Sky and got cut off twice. One guy said the issue had been fixed and to reboot, even though I had said I had just done it. I was then cut off. Second guy said it wasn't fixed and to just keep trying it through the day or wait 24 hours.
Main Sky q box is working fine it's just the 2 mini boxes that keep showing either a black screen or saying no satellite signal. Both are connected to everything they should be.
Don't know where you guys are from but I'm in Scunthorpe.

Re: No satelite signal

Just to clarify, symptoms were no signal on minboxes and no recoridngs on main box. I have done;

Reboot of main sky Q box

Reboot of router

Reconnect wifi (Plusnet) after reset

Reser connection to mini box form Sky Q box

Re connect all mini boxes using the reconnect to Sky Q box (and the WPS button). I found this didnt complete first time and said it couldnt find the Sky Q main box, however after a second restart it completed the process.

It was then very glitchy for a few minutes but settled. I now have no apps, however, and an app refresh didnt work.

Im giving it 24 hours now and hoping everything settles.

No signal

I just keep getting waiting for TV schedule due to no satellite signal...

Re: No satelite signal

You won't get the recordings back as the same thing happened with me and Sky have said sorry for any inconvenience and that's it. They knew there was an issue, but didn't confirm it early this morning.

Re: No satelite signal

Had same problem. Pulled mains out of back waited 30 seconds. Plugged back in and they were all fine again.

Re: No signal

If no signal on miniboxes, you need to reboot your main sky Q box. Then reactivate the connect to minibox in settings. Go back to your minibox and reconnect to Sky Q box (reboot). I then reset the network connection, wihch forces you to press the WPS button on the main box. The minibox then said it can't find the sky Q box, however then go back into the connect to Sky Q main box option and it completed the process.

I'm not sure if was coincidence but worked for me. I'm in Manchester for info.

Re: No satelite signal

Sounds like everyones issue is different. Spent an hour on mine (main box and 3 miniboxes on Plusnet wifi). Agree its poor from Sky but hope what I did may help some people.

@Juliem- did you  reboot your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

then

reboot your mini box

Re: Sky connection problems

Yes, Sky mini box says it can't connect to network, but there is nothing wrong with my BT router. Shows as no "satellite signal" which is nonsense as the main box is working just fine. Have tried every avenue to get connected but nothing works. What is going on Sky?
