No picture with intermittent sound red dot on sky q box

turned tv on to find a black screen with intermittent sound 

red dot in middle of the q box 

tried unplugging the TV and pressing the on off switch for 30 seconds 

same with the sky box 

done this a couple of times still the same 

losing the plot now

Doing the same to us but seems to do it when we have been watching something on an app then coming back to sky q all channels blue or black screen we are having to reboot box 3 - 4 times a day
