We currently don't have internet. It has gone down in my area. No problems I thought I'd just watch TV on my sky Q box. As we have a dish.
Turning on the sky box it comes up with the message 'you will be ready to go in a few minutes ' then asks me to press home when the screen goes black.
Follow the instructions and sometimes it'll show live TV in the top left corner for a few seconds then it moves around the screen and then turns off . Starts the cycle again.
Surely I can watch satalite TV without the internet? Understand that I can on demand won't be available but I can't even watch BBC 1?
What is the point of the satalite dish on the side of my house if it's coming through the internet all the time?

hi @ChristinaVF
You should be able to watch Satellite TV if there is no internet.
However, I think you are experiencing a bug that seems to affect some people with internet problems.
Whilst you have connection problems to the internet can you try turning off your router & see if that allows your box to start up without shutting down afterwards

Hi @nigea99 I'll try turning off my router and see if that will bypass the bug. I'll let you know in a few minutes

Great news.
I am really glad you mentioned the moving around the screen, as it was that symptom that helped me think of this particular bug.
I think it should be OK once the internet is fully back working (fingers crossed)
