No Wifi from a hard wired mini box at bottom of garden

Hi. i have recently changed to the new White Sky Router, but before i changed i always had Wifi at the bottom of my garden in a cabin, that has a Sky mini box hard wired into my main Sky Q box in my house.  THe mini box was acting as a hot spot i suppose.

However since i changed router, this has stopped and there is no Wifi down there at all.

i read some posts on these discussions and went into Settings and pressed 0 0 1 and then changed the setting on the Network that turned on the Wifi Hotspot.

This has seemed to have helped as i now have a WiFi signal back albeit not as strong as before.  Would this setting have been turned off at some point when connecting to the new router?

i just want to ensure i havent messed around with something that could cause more issues.

Many thanks

Craig

Hi @So+True+100

The new Sky Max router acts like a 3rd party broadband router.

Therefore Q box hotspots are not automatically on.

Also,  as the Hotspots are not the not the same as the Sky Q mesh,  they may not be as effective as before.

You did the right thing though, should be fine.

Impressed this worked, it's not the most reliable feature 😄
