No BBC, ITV or any non sky channels on my Sky Q mini box

Recently changed my broadband supplier from BT to Highland broadband, minutes after the switch off the sky Q mini box stopped showing non-sky channels and shows the message "please check your subscription entitles you to watch this channel".I thought BBC,ITV etc were free to air, main SKY Q box is fine, please help!. Have done reboos,resets,resetting s and fitted an ethernet switch and cables,all to no avail.

Hi,it was something at their end, it was fixed in minutes, not anything I could have done at home, said something about viewing card, bouncing signals and a rejigging of subscription, unfortunately I can't find the conversation to tell you exactly what was wrong

This sounds like a regional flag has been reset with your ISP change/location.

 

I've escalated this to Sky and they should be in touch with you soon about it.
Look out for a message from Sky on your email and Sky Community private messages.
Look out for the blue chat bubble within your Sky community.

They are, but there isn't any non-subscription viewing on Sky Q at all.

I would reboot your mini box to see if it brings the channels back @Hosie31

Thanks,i even carried the mini box thro and sat it next to the main box and did these checks but nothing works, maybe if I said "please"and talked to it nicely it might work!

Thought that, i kinda had the idea that if anything was amiss it would be the sky channels that would disappear
