Had a new sky q box installed to replace a faulty one and now unable to watch prime tv as it just has my old expired account on screen and not the usual three fully paid members

In which case you have logged into the app with the wrong/older credentials.
You will need to logout :
Left Arrow to activate the left hand menu
Scoll Down to Settings & Press Enter
Scroll down th elist of Settings - Sign Out should be at the bottom of the List & Select it
Once Signed out , you will need to sign in with your Newer Account

No that is in the Prime App on the SKY Q box
