If your Sky Q remote is definitely broken/faulty, if you follow this link it should allow you to do some troubleshooting and then it’ll send you to a form to request a replacement (apparently this is not available to customers in the ROI).

It might be quicker to purchase a new one from a retailer / main supermarket. If you do that as well you’ll always have a spare.

Thanks, tried to fix but it's definitely broken. Sky have said they will send a replacement but might take about 7-10 days which isn't ideal. Wasn't sure if I could buy one and if it would definitely work.

hi @EG38
If you have an apple device (ipad at least) , the latest version of SKY Go app has a remote control option - unfortunately it is not yet available on Android.
If you do want a spare remote you can get SKY remotes from a variety of sources (Argos/ Currys & the big online sites) - just make sure you get one with a voice button - note some stores do not have the latest version and have a voice button on the side
