Try rebooting your Q box @dennis7 

Press Standby on your Sky Q remote and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait a few seconds before you press Home on your Sky Q remote which should change the light to green and home screen should appear.

This latest update we are told has the following;

 

  • Silent Paramount + sign in - Meaning if you're already signed into P+ on your main Sky Q box you won't need to manually sign in to your mini boxes.
  • Back-end memory optimisation - Quality and reliability back-end work.

@lettice It's a known issue with some users and Sky are aware of it, but even after 3 years they can't find a fix, simply not good enough and even more so that they are quick enough to put prices up. Basically it occurs on certain downloads that it comes up with technical failure etc.  it's nothing to do with my broadband or anyone else's, it's something that needs to be fixed, and even the numerous engineers who have come out and have said the same thing.

Probably means the "Remote network failure " issue that causes downloads to fail that is caused by the ad server that inserts the adverts timing out. It's more of a backend issue rather than software.

That is what I meant thank you and very helpful

 

 I spoke to sky and they keep saying it might be an issue with the broadband provider, and I told them that's not correct. Even previous employees in the same team told me it was a back issue problem that is affecting people, but not everyone. They are working on it and have promised to fix it.

Q220 on DL stream for main box, doesn't appear to be available on the mini box as I've tried several times to push it through but staying on Q210

Q220 is now available on the DR stream for Mini boxes.
