hi @Kate1232

Although this may not help as you metion no leds come on, it may still be worth a try

When you think the SKY Q box has started try pressing the following keys in sequence

Home 1 0 8 0 Home

(BTW if it is a new box & you have not yet paired the remote then make sure the remote has line of sight of the SKY Q box)

Hi @Kate1232

Work through the following link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-q-box-wont-turn-on
If you have to order a new Q box this usually means a doorstep swap.
Don’t forget to keep your viewing card from the failed box if you order a replacement.
Also if the box you are replacing is a 2TB there are two versions of power supply. One has a standard C7 (figure of eight) power lead socket in the back of the Q box. The other has a separate power supply. Although this still has the C7 power lead into the power supply there is a multi pin Din power socket in the Q box for connecting the power supply. Make sure that the replacement box has the power supply included if the Q box has the orange coded multi pin din socket in the back of the Q box. See below.

Re: New Sky Q box wont switch back on or connect during set up - no leds on front lighting up

Thank you @oldfella - this replacement box does indeed have the extra power box with orange pin connector... tried the steps again but no led light and blue Q turns off as soon as I get to the blank screen - pressing home on remote and also reset on box doesnt start it up again.
