New Sky Q box remote sometimes works sometimes doesn't - could the box be too far from the TV?

Hello, I have a new Sky Q Box - installed on Tuesday, sometime the remote works and sometimes it doesnt, the box is about 10 meters from the TV, sometimes it almost freezes, the volume and off button always work, althought i have to go to the box to push the wee button to switch it on,  i have reset the remote as well. For the previous normal Sky box i have a wee eye thing which I still have connected to the TV but dont think it works with the new Sky Q?

Correct. There's no way to plug those into a Q so presumably it's just sitting there now.

Normally they were used on the end of an aerial cable extension to allow remote control in that other room but I guess they would also work to provide IR reception for a box hidden in a cupboard.

The Q remote uses bluetooth so generally most people find it works much better.

Did you do the 7&9 then 1&3 thing?
