Just received new Sky Q box and set up - works well. They also sent me my first Mini box. Setting up has casued issues in that as soon as I connect to the WIFI the connection to the Q box is lost. Have tried using a cable to our BT Mesh extenders but woth exactly the same result. Not on Sky broadband.
Either I am missing something obvious or there is a fault somewhere.
Any ideas gratefully received?

I did get connection via WPS (eventually) on Mini Box and had picture etc but only for a minute or so before the Q Box lost its connection. I will try to connected them both by ethernet cable to the Mesh nodes and see it that solves the problem.
Hi @DJW-FFC
When all boxes are connected by Ethernet you can then switch off all Q box WiFi.
Start with main Q box and first carry out a Network reset with the Ethernet connected.
Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Select connect wired to non Sky Router (even if using nodes) . Do not carry out any WPS and just wait for the box to connect. It may take a couple of minutes. If it does not connect there is an issue with the Ethernet connection.
As soon as it connects immediately go into the Q box hidden menu and turn off WiFi.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Go to Network to turn off both bands of WiFi. Confirm before exit.
Repeat the network reset on any minis in the Mini Home menu with the Ethernet connected. Again do not do any WPS and just wait for it to connect.
Once it is connected immediately go into the mini hidden menu (same procedure as above) and turn off both bands of WiFi. Confirm before exit.

Hi @DJW-FFC
Assume you are aware that on 3rd Party broadband minis if using WiFi will only connect by WPS to your main Q box (or a Sky Q WiFi booster).
You can use Ethernet but unless the main box is also on Ethernet then the connection must be between main Q box and mini.
If all boxes are on Ethernet then you can connect them to your Router.
It may also be OK if all boxes are Ethernet connected to Mesh nodes. You cannot have one box on node and one on router. They both must be connected to nodes or both to Router.

Re: New Sky Q box losing connectivity with mini box
Ok this is helpful. I have regularly been losing connection between Sky main box WiFi and the Zen router even though the Zen router offers two frequency options and we have chosen 2.4 as recommended. I have reluctantly connected the main box with an Ethernet connection but neither of the two miniboxes as they are too far away from the router. What settings if any should I change. Or should I connect a Sky booster to my Zen router via Ethernet then WiFi the box to the Sky booster.
