New LG TV and now non HD content through Sky Q dreadful
I've changed from a Samsung to LG tv. Non HD content was great before tv change but now appalling. Only change is TV. I've tried loads of TV picture settings but no help. TV is an LG 50UT91006LA. What can i do?

Was no problem with Samsung 4K QLED TV though which makes it so frustrating.

It's possible that the Samsung had "Noise Reduction" turned on to mask the awful SD picture quality. LG also offers this feature but TV picture settings experts generally suggest keeping it off, as although it can make SD look a bit better, it also slightly reduces the HD quality and removes fine detail in the picture.
On my LG I find having Super Resolution and Smooth Gradient on medium is beneficial however.
