Re: Netflix app crashing/won't load

Is it possible to get a status update fir this issue from the SKY Tech team on this forum ?

I've seen a variety of 2nd hand statements and it would be great for someone from SKY to tell us...

1) What is the problem ?
2) When are we likely to see a fix ?

3) What are the best work around solutions in the meantime?

Can anyone make this happen ?

Re: Netflix app crashing/won't load

i have the same problems, last sunday I updated the sky box, reset my password with Netfix and after an hour it all worked perfectly.

Monday came to load Netflix and well it didnt work, back to turning off at mains hopefully that works but not always.

Tuesday and phoned up Netflix...no issues, they suggest the problem lies with Sky, phoned Sky and went through the process again and didnt work........the Sky Rep. then offered me £10 credit ? and then admitted to me that Sky has had this problem for a month and are working on it !!!!!!!!!

There is Kirsty+27S who is a Sky employee who is already involved in this thread.

Hi CJ like you  I've tried everything try just deleting your recorded programs it's definitely worked for my mums skyq she's had no problems upto now this isn't my idea it was suggested by sky tech how long it will last is anyone's guess so far so good maybe worth a try nothing else seems to rectify the problem

Re: Netflix app crashing/won't load

So deleting the recored programmes would mean that the Sky server is at fault ????

Re: Netflix app crashing/won't load

No idea CJ Tobe honest that's all they suggested but somehow and upto now it's working fine it's been working for 4 days no problems before that everytime you came out of netflix it wouldn't reload it was intermittent luck of the draw if it loaded or not

Re: Netflix app crashing/won't load

I will try anything but that suggests that the Sky Q box is at fault !!!!

Re: Netflix app crashing/won't load

Totally agree that might be the next stage but they won't doit thus far theve tried everything else resetting the apps rebooting and so on all I've done on sky tech advice is deleted all recorded programs on the skyq and rebooted the skyq and netflix came straight on and no problems since hope it works for you all upto now it's fine here

You rebooted the Q box which is usually a temporary fix sadly, I believe it will fail again sooner or later.

A Sky agent advising you to delete all recordings rather sounds like an "I have no idea but this will make you go away" solution. The best option at the moment is to do what Kirsty suggests on page 1 and if still having issues then use a different App (BBC iPlayer for instance) and then back to the Netflix one.

Can I ask you and @cjchris to use the quote button when replying as it's difficult to follow otherwise.

Re: Netflix app crashing/won't load

Yes weird one this I did think they were clutching at straws with delete all recordings scenario it's like what's a skyq HDD got to do with a streaming platform but hey it's worked so far but time will tell I suppose.

Netflix will not load - keep buffering

What is confusing here is there is an additional wireless box upstairs and netflix has no problems at all loading
