Re: Netflix Won't Load / Spinning Circle

@BaileyGB

This has now worked for me too, ie the logout of Netflix on the web page thing. Let's hope it lasts!

You mentioned logging out of Netflix on the web browser?

Can you try these steps please:

1 - Log into Netflix via the web browser.

2 - Highlight your profile picture (Top right corner).

3 -  Click on Account.

4 - Under the Security and Privacy option, click on Manage access and devices.

5 - Select the device name: (it may be called SkyQ ......or Sky UK Set-top box).

6 - Select--> click on the "Sign out" option on the SkyQ ......or Sky UK Set-top box.

7 - Go to your SkyQ box and launch the Netflix app on your SkyQ box.

Let us know if that worked for you.

Thanks

@Kirsty+S27  can I suggest we swap your marked answer for this post by Sam? People new to the thread have a much better chance of seeing it then and not "trying everything suggested" without having seen this, which seems to be the most reliable fix so far.

Would also be good to hear from the app developers why this seems to be working and if / when they can update the app to properly resolve the root cause so this solution isn't needed. 😁

Re: Netflix app crashing/won't load

I have tried the solution stated but still no joy only a spinning wheel and the netflix logo. I can sign in on my I pad,  Macbook and the sky box in my Den but not on the main skyQ box. is there anything else I can do?

The stated solution being which? Have you tried the one by @Sam9999 immediately above yours?

Re: Netflix often not working on SkyQ

I've tried everything and still having issues with Netflix via SkyQ

I've called out a virgin engineer twice  who has followed the instructions on the thread and no joy, we've come out of Sky Q and joined again, we've used the secret menu to refresh all Apps.

No joy, works for a day or two and then back to spinning wheel with no entry to Netflix.

Any one have any other ideas as I'm beginning to wonder why I signed up for Netflix via Sky when most of the time it doesn't work!

Re: Netflix often not working on SkyQ

Tbh I've given up and using my firestick.. luckily I have other methods of access but if it was only via sky q box I would have cancelled by now.. also having major WiFi issues with sky q hub and for the £115 (with offers) I'm considering cancelling all together if I get told one more time to reboot router or sky bix to make somthing work ill have an aneurysm..

Re: Netflix Won't Load / Spinning Circle

Hello, just for the record for any Sky people, I have tried every suggestion on this thread over the past few months and nothing to date works. I will post if any suggestion works for me or if a miracle happens and Sky fix it...but until then I will spin away and watch through other means.

I have tried everything multiple times plus other areas suggestions , even a Sky Engineer visited who spent 90 mins and failed going through all the various procedures with calls to his senior tech area. I will keep testing old and new suggestions in case something kicks.

Sky Q (2TB) and x2 Mini Boxes - apart from the main box working for a few days when installed in Sept this year none of them will load Netflix (and yes i have no generated tokens showing)

ps - thanks so far to the puplic technicians.

Reason I would like it:- To activate the selling point to ditch a remote control and use voice commands, so please don't shoot me.

For anyone interested  - The engineer also swapped out the week old box for another new one, bypassed my internet using his business tablet / connection, still didnt work.

Just to double check as it's relatively new, but did you try Sam's suggestion further back? sam9999 that is.

37 pages is a lot to go through. A couple of people have said they've tried everything and not seen that and it worked for them.

So could you see the Sky box in the device access & management page? Someone else said it wasn't showing there for them. Edit: ah yeah you said you couldn't see anything listed. Interestingly the same. There must be >1 root cause of this problem.

voice control doesn't work in the netflix app by the way afaik.
