Hello. Netflix keeps crashing on my Sky Q box. It's specifically when I try to select a specific episode of a show after a search. If i'm continuing a show I've already started, or watching a film it's fine (so far), but if I want to select a specific episode other than the first, or the last one I started, the app crashes and kicks me back out to the sky menu. Other apps all seem fine. I've already tried rebooting the box, reset the box settings and refreshed apps using the 001 menu, updated system software and restarted my router. My Netflix account is working fine on other devices. Any help would be appreciated.

This is exactly the same issue that I have been having with Netflix over the last 24 hours, the issue started yesterday too. Wonder if there is a general issue with Netflix on SkyQ devices?

Thanks Mark. That sounds reassuring that this could be a wider/temporary issue. Hopefully it gets sorted soon

Bad news I'm afraid - I've just run your scenario several times & it worked each time. Search, choose an episode, run..... repeat.

Thanks for checking. Any idea if there's anything else I can try my end?

Looking at the list of things you've tried, I'm at a loss as to what else you can try.

@Invisiblename Thanks again for your help. I guess I'll give it a few days and then contact Sky if it doesn't improve.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreJust tried resuming an episode from continue watching and get same issue.
It starts to play the episode for a very short time, say a minute or so and then exits to Sky Q.
This happens on two I have just tried; Mudbound and Lincoln Lawyer.
After each episode, crashed and exited back to Sky Q. Went back into Netflix and played the same episode again, it played fine this time.
Played a few other episodes in my continue watching and they played out fine.
It does seem intermittent.

@lettice Thanks, mine is intermittent too, but is often enough to be pretty annoying. Took me 8 or 9 tries to get After Life season 3 episode 1 to play. My wife had watched the whole season, and it would only let me resume where she'd left off and crashed everytime I tried to restart the season. A couple of series on my continue watching also crashed after the introduction, but were fine on the 2nd or 3rd try.

Id be happy to report into our Superusers area, if a few more have the problem, or with further testing.
If you can try using Netfix a bit more this evening and @Mark187187 do the same if you can.
I will also run some tests Myself tonight.
If you see anyone else having the same issue, please flag.
For Myself, I use Netflixmost days on the Sky boxes and rarely get issues. So it's definite something odd is happening, that started in the last day or so.

Thanks for your help on this the other day. I've tested for the last couple of days, and I can report no improvements for me. I tried another app refresh and settings reset, and no change unfortunately.

@lettice Just to add, after reading another users advice to try setting up new profiles, that didn’t work for me either- the app crashes if I try to start a series other than with season 1 episode 1

Having the exact same issue- if I go to choose an episode it crashes back onto sky Q. This has been happening since yesterday morning.

That's not the same issue though.
Have you turned the box off for a minute at the wall and allowed it to reboot.

@Anonymous Two threads seem to have been merged here. My posts on page 4 from last Tuesday are the same issue, as are a few replies on that page. Sky support are helping me with this at the moment through chat on the forum.
