I have a LG 50ins TV, and when I watch apps through SkyQ box like "Netflix and Prime Video" the picture is pixcelating all the time.
If I use the LG TV apps they are OK using the same SKY Broadband that is connected to my SkyQ box and is in the same room just feet apart.
Can anyone help me with this please?
I have checcked my cables and settings on my Sky box and all are fine.
This problem is only with SkyQ tv apps "Netflix and Prime Video"
Which leaves me to believe the problem is with my SkyQ box!
Best Regards Jeff

The Sky man swapped my Q Box for the latest version and since then it's been ok.
Had one or two slight pixilations but not like before continuous.

We have exactly the same problem. Started a few days ago and is happening on all streaming apps. I did a prolonged network test for packet loss, speed drops but all came up fine, Tried other devices too and all worked fine. It's only the sky box apps that are doing it.
Keen to hear what they say.

Found this on another forum post, trying it now, other users have suggested it has worked for them.
I spoke to Sky today about the issue.
They did ask me to update the software (already tried that) but then also to refresh the Apps.
This is done by going to settings in the menu. Ensure the word 'settings' is highlighted and then pressing 0.0.1. on the remote and then select.
At the bottom of the new menu is' Apps'. Press right from 'Apps' and then the option to refresh will be given.
Early testing is positive for me.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWhat network speed does the netflix app say it is getting if you use its test in the menu?

Hi
Using Netflix through my SkyQ box, I ran the "Check Network"/ Connection speed, and it is 71.01Mbps.
Which is the same as the rest of my Sky router equipment..
I'm gonna use the Apps I pay for through my TV until the Sky Man Visits..

Usually it is wiser to use your tv apps because they can give better picture and sound quality anyway. I've never used the SkyQ apps for streaming video at all and the majority don't.

I would have thought like me you would prefer to use one handset controller instaed of two. Plus why should it not work the same as going direct through the TV, I have no problem watching any programs through my Qbox that's not in apps menu.?

I have the same problem and, as another poster has mentioned, it's only started recently. I have a Samsung TV and the apps work fine but they judder and pixelate on Sky Q. WiFi and broadband speed are fine. Sounds like it is a bigger issue. Perhaps someone can escalate?

There is another forum post where they have come to the same conclusion. Clearly a software issue on sky Q box given it impacts all streaming apps (BBC, Disney, prime, netflix etc) but only when using sky Q box. Appears to have been ongoing for over 6 months for some customers which is odd, unless their box updated with newer software sooner than mine did.

Anyone know what the latest software version is? So we. can check our QBox and if not how do you update it? Methinks it would be updated automaticly if necessary.
