While watching TV on Sky Q the add shown in the photo below pops up on the screen. There is no telling when it will pop up and it happens both while watching live TV or recordings. It is partiucuarly annoying as we already have Netflix as part of our service (and it is working). Another irritating thing is that it cannot be cleared by just clicking the back button. The only way to close it appears to be to return to the Sky Q home page and then select the program you want to watch all over again. Anyone got any idea ofwhy this is happening and how to stop it?

hi @MancEagle
Particularly as the image shows a Sign in button it makes me think that it could be coming from your TV itself rather than through SKY.
The next time it pops up try using your TV's remote to see if you can dismiss it via that.

Re: Netflix advert pops up while watching TV
Yes that will be something generated by the TV not the Sky box.

Re: Netflix advert pops up while watching TV
"Ad" as in advertisement. Not "Add" as in 1+1
As above, Sky obviously wouldn't be doing that, that is the TV. The joy of online TVs and cheap tellies subsidised by data-driven targetted advertising business models.
Don't know why returning to the Q home screen would clear it though. Maybe the TV detects the incoming signal change.

Hi @MancEagle
Check in your TV settings that the TV is not set to retail Display or Demo mode

Re: Netflix advert pops up while watching TV
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I think you are right. I was slowly reaching the conclusion that it was coming form the Sony Bravia TV and not from the Sky Q box. The reason I thought it was from the Sky box was that I had never seen this before and only started after we upgraded to Sky Q.
